I'm reading Among the Hidden by Margaret Peterson Haddix.  This book is about an illegal child named Luke. He used to be able to play out in his backyard, because the woods made it safe. The major problem or conflict of Among The Hidden is the family or population law. The law states that there only two children are allowed in each family. Later on in the book you meet Jen Talbot.  She tries her best to help Luke Garner to never give up on hiding from strangers.

I'm reading Hatchet by Gary Paulsen.  It all started whe13-year-old Brian's parents divorced. Brian was going to see his dad after they divorced.  His mom bought Brian a hatchet. Brian was on a 2-passenger plane. While they were getting ready to lift off, the pilot started to get sick. Brian was smelling nasty odors.  Brian looked back at the pilot and he saw that the pilot was having a heart attack. Brian panicked.  He tried getting help by using the pilot's headphones.  Only one person reached him but he was no help.   All he told Brian to do was fly the plane, but Brian didnt know how, but he ended up flying in the air!   A couple minutes later, he ran out of gas.   The plane was just falling and falling and falling.  Brian saw some lakes, so he crashed into one.  He was so thirsty he drank some water then he threw up. He was hungry, too.  All that was going through his mind were thoughts of a juicy hamburger and then he asked himself, "when are they going to find him?"

I read The Getaway by Jeff Kinney. It's about this boy whose family wants to go on a vacation to an island.  They plan to relax from Christmas but chaos starts before they even get to this paradise.  By the time they do get there, the chaos is out of control.  It's a good book. Go read it.

I liked a book I found on Storyline Online.  It was called The Garbage Barge and it was written by Jonah Winter. This book is about how a bunch of garbage was in a boat.  Nobody wanted the garbage.  I think the book has a really good message:  people just make trash and then they don't care about it.  In fact, we make so much that we don't even have control of it.

Today I will tell you about the book Christmas in Camelot by Mary Pope. So far, I have read pages 3-21.  The book is good.  In the beginning, the kids get an invitation to go to Camelot.  They explore the castle. They feed them at the table. That's what I've read so far.

My favorite book this week was the Pittsburgh Steelers. Did you know that this team has played the most super bowls in the NFL? They have won 6 Super Bowls!!!! They also have great players. For instance, one of these was Ben Rothlesburger. He led the Steelers to a Super Bowl, and they won.

I am reading a book called Kylie Jean: Hoop Queen. I like this book because it is about this girl who did not know anything about basketball.   Her dad signed her up so she could learn how to play basketball, The basketball team is called Honey Bees. That why I like this story.

Right now I am reading a book called Esperanza Rising.  It is about a girl named Esperanza, who has lost everything. She has lost her papa (her dad), her home (in a fire), and her native country, Mexico. Due to Esperanza's wicked uncles, Esperanza's family and their servants must immigrate to California.The work in California is hard, and the pay is just enough to eat meals. I am reading the book Dork Dairies.  Someone in the book was being mean and rude to three girls.  She thinks that a guy toilet papered her house, but it was the three girls.  They tried to clean up the toilet paper but she threatened to call the cops.  Read it and find out what happens!

I read Auggie and Me:  The Julian chapter.  It was nice.  Julian said sorry to Auggie for being mean. I would recommend this book to kids.

 I am reading this book and it is called Frazzled.  It is by Booki Vivat.  The characters in this book are often thinking about food.  The main character started Middle School.  She got lost on the first day and she did not like it.  Read Frazzled to find out what else happened to her.

I'm reading a new book Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Lightning Thief,  It's a very good book, I love the movies so I decided to read the books and I wanted to read the books because of the of The Good Author Day.

I read a little more of The Book Thief. It is a really good book. The book is written by Markus Zusak. It is a great book. Rosa and Hans are the foster parents of a girl named Liesel. They are hiding a Jew in their basement. Do you think that people are going to notice they are hiding someone? Read the book to discover more.

I have recently started reading a book called Once upon a Kiss by Robin Palmer. I would recommend this book if you like things that involve time travel. This book is about a girl named Zoe who is from 1986, but somehow got teleported to 2016. Zoe was never popular at Castle Heights High, but when she got teleported to the future, she's the most popular girl there. Zoe needs to find way back to 1986, and her best friend, Jonah might be able to help her, but Jonah won't even speak to her! Get the book for yourself to find out what happens next!

Have you ever wanted to read a book with a dog sewed into a cop's body?  Well there is one.  It's a book called Dog Man.  This is a comic with some silly characters and jokes. The story is that on one normal day, a cop and a dog are relaxing.  They have a mission to stop a bomb by their enemy, Petey the Cat.  They fail the mission. Then the doctors save them by sewing them together. You will want to read this yourself.  The author is Dav Pilkey.

I read Goosebumps:  Hall of Horror by R. L. Stine. It is interesting because Lee doesn't like his friend Cory Duckworth anymore.  The whole class was playing a game and Cory always won.  Cory is lucky and Lee doesn't like that. I recommend this book the kids and adults.

The book I'm reading now is El Deafo.  I got it on Overdrive and I'm so happy because it is such a good book so far. I would recommend it because it is very funny. Spoiler alert!!!   The girl in the story likes a boy that just moved in. It is a very good book.

I am reading a book called Unicorn Riders. It is about a girl named Willow and she is a unicorn rider. There are other girls who are also unicorn riders. They all have magical unicorns. Willow's uncle is sick and he broke her family apart. So now she hates him for what he has done. He is a king and he has people who are loyal to him, but in reality, he is a mean selfish person.

I'm reading Baby Sitters Club by Raina Telgemeier.   It's about how a new baby sitting club coming to town.  A lot of interesting things happen.  Some of the girls don't get along.  Then, someone else comes along and becomes a new member of their group.  You will have to read it to figure out who the new member is.
