The book I recommend is Dog Man:  The Tail of Two Kitties.  Petty bought a clone machine.  You'll have to read the book to learn about the funny adventures that he has!

I read a book that is a comic graphic novel. It's called Roller Girl. I read it on Overdrive. It has a lot of tough questions in the end of it because of something that happened. I'm not gonna try and spoil it or anything.  You're just going to have to read it to find out the rest of the story!

In the book The One and Only Ivan, I read about how Ruby the elephant and Ivan the gorilla became friends.  One day they were going to a zoo.  Ruby and Ivan got moved.  Then Bob the dog and George let them talk to each other.  You'll have to read it to know what they talked about!

I love the book, Wonder. This story is told from multiple perspectives. First, from August who is a fifth-grade student who has a disease that makes his face weird. Next, the story is told from the perspective of his sister VIa. She explains the hardships of high school and with having a deformed brother.  Then,  we see Summer's point of view. Summer is one of August's true friends.  She talks about how she feels when she sees August all alone. She is helping him fit in. The last point of view is Jack's.  Jack was one of August's friends, but August doesn't talk to him because Jack hurts August's feelings by saying they used to be friends. Then said he likes being friends with August but it was a misunderstanding. That's all we have read and I'm glad reading this book.

I read a book called Captain Underpants and the Big, Bad Battle of the Bionic Booger Boy by Dav Pilkey. It was a good book. I like it because George and Harold had the funny idea that to put ketchup packs on the toilet seat.  So when someone would sit down on the toilet they would get sprayed with ketchup. Then Melvin said, ''No, you guys can't do that!" That was funny to me. I would recommend this book to other kids because it will make them laugh.

I read No Talking by Andrew Clements.  It's interesting because the main character, Dave, is trying to keep is mouth zipped for a whole day.

Andrea Enriquez Monjaraz

I just finished the book, Shingaling by R.J. Palacio.  It's told from  the point of view of Charlotte from the book Wonder. I recommend Shingaling because it is really funny.  It also has a lot of drama.

Breanna Flores

I am reading a new book called Dawn and the Impossible Three by Ann M. Martin and Gale Galligan.   It is about a babysitters' club.   Dawn has to babysit four kids.  Their house is a mess and the baby's diaper is filled. Yuck!  At one point, the entire babysitting group goes on a picnic together.   One member of the club stops Dawn from feeding the baby chocolate because he is allergic to it.  You'll have to read the book to find out what other adventures happen to Dawn and the kids.

The book I am reading is called Max Flash Mission 5:  Subzero.  The main character is a kid and he is a spy.  He spies for the good guys.  His mission is to spy on robots to see what they are doing.

Kristin Castaneda

I'm reading a book on Overdrive called The Wings of Fire.  I'm currently on chapter 19! The book is about dragons.  Some are part of a prophecy: Clay, Sunny, and a water dragon. There's a queen called Queen Scarlet. The dragons were held under a mountain like prisoners. They escaped and Clay got hurt by a big rock. Then they met Queen Scarlet and were now her prisoners. Clay fought and won because Queen Scarlet cheated. 

This book is fantastic! It's about 8 hours long on Overdrive!  I have 5 hours left. There are other books in this series as well.

In my opinion, Diary of a Wimpy Kid:  Hard Luck is a great book. I think this is a great book because some parts are hilarious.   There is a sad part in the book.  The grandma dies and nobody cares.  All they care about is a body ring she had. I would recommend this book to other people.  You'll have to read it to know why the ring is so important!

I read a book a few months ago and it was great.The book's title was The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane. I enjoyed the book a lot because it told the journey of a rabbit.  The rabbit disappeared from his owner.  The story tells about how, over years, he finds his owner again.  I really enjoyed this because of the adventures he has to go through to get back to his owner.

Right now I am reading a book called, Twintuition Double Dare by Tia and Tamera Mowery. I have read the other book in this series and that book is called Twintuition Double  Vision. The last book was good, so I think this book will be good too. The first book in the series was about identical twins who have moved to a new house in a new town and they find out they have the power to see the future. The second book is about the twins finding out about a grandmother who the twins never knew they had.  The grandmother's last name is Lockwood and in the book, the Lockwoods had see-the-future-powers too! Read the book to find out what else happens!

This is a non-recommendation!

I don't recommend the book The One and Only Ivan by Katherine Applegate and Patricia Castelao.  When you finish the book, it feels like it needs more to complete the story.  It also needs to be more well-written.  The book is okay, but nothing in it makes you not want to continue reading.  I finished it, and I can tell you that it doesn't get good until the middle.  The chapters are all different lengths, some are only one page long, some are five pages and some are as long as 12 pages.   The story bounces around and I had to ask myself:   wait, what?  When did that happen? I don't suggest this book to anyone!

I would like to summarize Dork Diaries Book 11:  The Not-So-Good, Friendly Frenemy. In this book, there is a girl named Nikki. She is in high school.  One day she gets a letter from her principal which tells her that she is going to spend a week at a different school. Nikki has three best friends. They are all going to the same school together, but she will be going to a different one. Then her French class teacher tells her that she has good grades iFrenchch class and if she goes to the week at the other school she will get to go to Paris. Before she can go, she has to take a picture for her ID card. She decides to make her own face cream to get ready for the picture. Nikki uses edible blue colored fruits and more and puts it on her face. The next day she washes her face and it is blue. When she gets to the school, she meets her guide which is a bully.  I have not read the rest yet.  I'm looking forward to finding out what else happens to Nikki.

Today I am reading Save The Cupcakes by Lisa Papademetriou.  This is a really interesting book. It is about a girl who works's in a tea shop with her grandma in order to make money.  Her mom is trying to find a job.

I recommend the book, The Song from Somewhere Else, by A.F. Harrold. The author introduced the characters in an interesting way:  Frank was getting bullied (BTW frank is a girl). Then Nick came (Nick is a boy). You'll have to read more to find out what happens with these two!

Isaiah Ochoa

I am reading a REALLY good book. It's called, Julian:  a Wonder story, by R.J. Palacio. I really like this book because, in the book Wonder, Julian is a bully.  In this book, I get to hear Julian's part of the story and it's unbelievable.  When you read it you will learn about Jack Will, August's best friend fighting him, the mean notes in Auggies' locker, Julian having to move because of his bad behavior, and more. This book blows my mind!

Kimberly Hernandez

I recommend the Dork Diaries series because they are all so well written that you will not want to stop reading them. The main character is Nikki Maxwell.  The stories also include her two BFF 's, Chloe and Zoey, her enemy, Mackenzie, and her crush, Brandon.  The whole series is awesome.   Her drama and funny stories about her crazy life are so relatable.   Her little sister is the funniest girl ever and don't even get me started on her parents.  Her dad is a roach and mice killer and her mom is a stay at home mom.  Her life at school and at home is awesome.  You should read this series!

I recommend the book, The Summer I Lost It by Natalie Kath.  I think this is a really good book because it is a book about a girl named Kat who wants to lose weight because she is "fat." She also wants a boyfriend, but no boys like her, because she's fat. So she starts going to the gym to start losing weight. Her goal is to lose fifteen pounds! One day at the gym she meets this boy named Connor.  He and Kat are both trying to eat healthier. Read the book to find out what happens to Kat and Connor!

Melanie Vasquez

For the past few days, I have been reading Heart of a Dolphin by Catherine Hapka. In the book, these best friends were in a fight and their friendship ended.  I started to cry because it is sad to see a friendship end.  At the same time, all of the kids in the story were also trying to find the dolphin that they saved.  I think that this is the best book that I have ever read.

One book series that I used to read and liked was the Captain Underpants series. It is about these two kids that hypnotized their evil principal.  They turned him into a super hero that they made in their comic books. There are two magical ways to change his character.  If you snap your fingers he turns into Captain Underpants. If water touches him while he´s Captain Underpants he turns back into Mr. Krupp, the evil principal.  The books are funny and I hope you read them!

I recently read I Survived the Attack of September 11, 2001.  A kid was playing football.  After practice, he got home and learned that two jets crashed, purposely, into the Twin Towers and then everything changed. All of a sudden other jets and other enemy forces kept attacking the city and New York was in chaos. The characters were hiding in a bunker underground waiting for the danger to pass.

I recommend that you read The Miraculous Adventures of Edward Tulane.  The story is really sad, but it also has lots of adventures. So I really recommend that you read it.

Smile, by Raina Telgemeier, is the book I'm reading. I found out that when main character fell she had to get braces. Once they took them off and she saw herself she wished she had them back on. Before that, when she started high school, she made new friends because her old ones pulled her skirt down but she had leggings on. She went to the restroom and started crying. She told them she was done being best friends and during P.E. she made new friends. After that when she got her braces off she asked them how she looked. The friends said that she looked good and she thought she was going to look weird.

Do you want to read a great book?  The book I like is called Heart of a Dolphin.  It is based on Annie and the dolphin. There are many good chapters in the book.

My book is like a dramatic, comical chapter book. It's called The Babysitters' Club by Raina. I like the books in this series because they're easy to read but they are also long.  The books have a lot of drama here and there. I have read four already and I'm reading another one right now on Overdrive.

I like the book, Wonder, because the girl named Summer stands up for August.  She tells the kids that are mean to him and call him zombie to stop calling him that.  This is why I like the Wonder and that is why Summer is a nice friend to aAugust

I really liked a book called Esperanza Rising. I liked this book because it shows the life of Esperanza and her family and their stress. It also shows how they were trying to escape. I really liked this book and I recommend it.

Wand Maker by Ed Masessa 

     I recommend this book because it has a lot of figurative language.  It it is a fiction book. The main character has a wand that he thinks doesn't work but it is working. I wonder what will happen next!!

James Chapa

My favorite book that I read recently is Because of Winn-Dixie. I really like this because it is interesting how the chocolates make people sad.  The chocolate made people sad because a guy was sad and he put his sadness inside the chocolate. It caused the chocolates to then make people sad.

The Cat in the Hat by Mrs. Nunez

I'm reading a book called "The Cat in the Hat."  There are two kids, Sally and Sam who have been left alone at home. It's a cold, rainy day and they are bored; they cannot think of anything to do. They are staring out the window when suddenly they hear a thunderous...

BOOM!

There is a cat with a red and white hat, an umbrella and a big red tie ready to revolutionize the whole house and have fun with the kids.

I can't wait to know what is going to happen with the house and the kids. Will they get into trouble?
